HSB
The HSB tab is used to specify a percentage of variance for each of the three color components- hue, saturation, and brightness.

This is useful for introducing subtle color variation that gives the appearance of grime, for example:

Jitter
Displaces the points along the geometry of a bristle's shape by a random amount between 0 and the specified value.

Below is an example of two bristles with their jitter value set to 7. The result is a random, sketch-like appearance:
